Released in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, Darksiders III marked the long-awaited return of the apocalyptic action series after nearly six years of dormancy.
Honestly, I've been looking forward to it right up until this game was released. I played the hell (pun intended) out of both Darksiders 1 and 2, but this game somehow felt a little weird. Maybe it's because the narrative felt like it took a bit of a detour from the first two games, maybe it was janky gameplay showcases, or maybe I just wasn't feeling like it at the time. Still, it's nice to see some opinions about it!
Are you looking forward to Darksiders 4? It's been quiet, but I assume it's still in development 😅
The one consistent thing about Darksiders is their inconsistency 😆 The first game was a Zelda like action adventure, the 2nd game was an open world RPG and Darksiders III is a more Soulslike inspired action adventure game. Story-wise, it gets confusing for sure. I think you'd ultimately enjoy it as it does tie into the overall story.
I'm definitely looking forward to 4. I hope they bring all the characters together in a big epic conclusion. Last I checked, it was still in the works but who knows when it will be done.

Indeed. I just hope they finish it after all, as yeah, I would love to see some epic conclusion 😁
