Movie Review: Pumpkinhead

Pumpkinhead was released in 1988 during the 80s “creature craze”. Ok, I just made that term up. But there were a lot of creature feature films released in the 80s: Gremlins, Aliens, The Fly, The Thing, Critters. The 1980s sort-of felt like a revival of the 1950s, when there were a whole slew of creature features such as: The Thing From Another Planet, The Fly and Creature From the Black Lagoon. Pumpkinhead doesn’t quite hit the heights of, say, Aliens. But it does have some interesting elements that I think make it worth watching.
