I cannot believe it took Nintendo 21 years to try and make a “sequel” to 1992’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Yes, because of Hyrule Historia (the book that describes the official Zelda timeline), this particular version of Link has gone on many adventures, but none of those games have felt like real sequels. A Link Between Worlds is also not really a sequel, since it is a different Link. However, the setting is so familiar, that it feels like a direct sequel more than any other entry in the series. Does A Link Between Worlds manage to be a good game while also providing nostalgia to its predecessor? Let’s find out.
